Dichroic glass jewelry from the Peabody Studio is fashioned by fusing shades of the finest stained glass with beautifully iridescent dichroic glasses. These glasses have a fine coating of metal which gives them the ability to reflect and bend lightwaves. This results in a striking and magical play of color and hue in the beads and components we make. Due to the variations inherent in the materials, colors are produced in limited editions. Fusing and combining glasses makes each piece unique. Our different lines of jewelry are listed below.

Peabody Studio

Deco
Each bead of the Deco line is wrapped in sterling silver allowing light to permeate, reflect, and transform the pieces, resulting in a stunning array of color. The Single, Double, and Triple Deco earring sets are made with Aurora beads.

Athena
Make a statement with a single linear look from our Athena line. Wear several in combination. Handcrafted with dichroic glass beads, "liquid silver" beads, sterling silver findings, and silver or glass accent beads.

Cleopatra
The Cleopatra line is a bold statement on any wrist! These bracelets are strung with 10-12 oblong glass beads on waxed linen cord. Each is finished with a beautiful Sterling side-slide clasp. This is a stunning interpretation of a cuff style bracelet, full of power and presence.

Goddess
The Goddess collection comprised of one-of-a-kind necklaces, pins, and rings are made with carefully fused cabochons of dichroic glasses, bezeled and strung with hand crafted sterling beads and components. These pieces are powerful and assertive bringing the out the "goddess" in everyone. Selections in this collection are one of a kind and change frequently as new designs become available.

Terra
The Terra collection is a line of one-of-a-kind, cascading drop earrings and pendant necklaces. Unique combinations of glasses are fused into three co-ordinating beads, each appromimately 1/2 inch in diameter. These large ingots highlight the dazzling qualities of dichroic glasses and are linked together to create a strong, visual expletive!

Our handcrafted jewelry designs are available in Aurora (a clear iridescent in a range of hues) or Cobalt (solid blue).

What is "Aurora"? Aurora beads are clear and sparkle in a full range of iridescent hues in different light. They result from the process of fusing two pieces of dichroic glass. Aurora colors are classified generally into warm (yellows, golds, oranges, and reds) and cool (greens, blues, and purples) although some glasses have BOTH warm and cool qualities. The Aurora pieces dramatically change color when they interact with light. An earring can appear nearly colorless at one angle but when turned to a lightsource, a magical play of brilliant blues, teals, purples, oranges, and pinks catch the eye.

Stained glass windows and lampshades and dichroic glass mirrors are only some of the decorative pieces created at Peabody Studio. Our decorative dichroic glass tiles are available for home or office installation.
